It's important to note that The Hostage Crisis That Is The Bush #43 Presidency entered an important phase today. No longer do triple digits mark the remaining days of The Worst Administration In History.
nancy--keep the faith. President-elect Obama is up by as much as 14 points nationally in some polls.
j.--isn't it lovely? i've been waiting for that moment for ages, it seems.
distracted...objects--welcome to the dept.! we're ALL doing a happy dance; some of us more than others, and some of us more subtly.
tera--you're welcome! just another little service from the Dept.
j.@jj--i know: that nancy is killer in comments. you're welcome. it's not often i get to be a ray of sunshine.
nancy--you know, there is a site for all his little bushisms. someone from salon.com is collecting and archiving them much like i do brian williams' ties. although, my reports are much more scintillating. (major plug for my companion site there.)
nina--i think i'm flattered...although being thought of when The Angel of Death is mentioned is not very nice. LOL.
Woohoo! Now, if we could just get him to stop speaking in public. Whenever he does speak, the stock market seems to go down. Of course, if he stops speaking, Nancy won't have those tidbits to share with us. Although I think there are probably enough W'isms already to last us a lifetime. They are like the ones quoted in that email that circulates periodically with quotes from celebrities that say things like, "You know if you die, you lose your life." Interesting, but not surprising, that there is a site that collects Bushisms. I am not sure I'll visit it though ...
I heard on the Today show about george only having 100 days left and I instantly thought of you. My 9 year son said, "Well Mommy, that means we are 100 days closer to Obama being President", such a profound statement from my little Dem. Noah.
i gotta tell you, im pretty amped about this. gwb's administration has been a stain on american history and anyone who doesn't think that, they are assholes.
gwb is to america as mold is to the last bit of lunchmeat in the refrigerator. constantly dissapointing but never a surprise. and they both should be thrown out.
jpd--nice analogy, and very apt. probably US Grant is the only individual happier than we are; he can finally stop being referred to as the worst American president in history, or at the very least, the one with the most corrupt administration.
halley--give that kid an extra cooky in his lunchbag! and thank you for thinking of me. how lovely!
nancy--hell, no! he's a republican, and he's also not very fiscally responsible, it would seem. have you read the latest on Mr. Joe?
shirley--oh, have some fun! go visit the Bushisms site here.
I saw this little piece of info on the news this morning and immediately thought of you!
ReplyDeleteGeorge W. has not yet gone and I am beginning to miss his wit and wisdom already.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, for instance, he said with deep conviction," I firmly believe the future is yet to come."
So profound!
HA! Nancy, your comment cracked me up.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nance, for this ray of light.
Nance thank you...this is great news!
ReplyDeleteJesus, Mary, and Joseph are doing a little happy dance.
ReplyDeleteYay! I noticed that on my counter yesterday. I think I can see some light at the end of this dark, dark tunnel.
ReplyDeleteNance,
ReplyDeleteI would like to tell J. that my fervent hope is that the light at the end of this dark, dark tunnel is NOT a speeding locomotive called McCain.....

ReplyDeleteNance,
ReplyDeleteI have just finished watching the McCain-Obama debate and have finally decided for whom I will be voting:
JOE THE PLUMBER
He will make a fine President and Mrs. Plumber a splendid First Lady.
Nance,
