  2. Wow. Now THAT's a mantel arrangement. Merry Christmas! I'm glad you've had the time this year to enjoy the season. I hope the buffet tonight is teeming with good food and merriment. :) And wine, lots of wine.

  5. Right back atcha, Nance! Thanks for all the entertainment the Department never fails to provide.

(I like the Christmas kitty pic.)

(I like what you're reading, too. Time for me to re-read that, methinks.)

  6. Thanks, everyone! 'Twas a lovely Christmas Eve with family, good Ontario wine, and enough food to make us all regretful. ;-)

Ortizzle--I'm actually reading a few books at once these days, depending upon my mood. LC'sL is one I pick up at night or take with me if I'm in a position to have to wait someplace. I never used to be able to read more than one thing at a time, but now I find it very liberating and indulgent, like snacking or having appetizers instead of a full meal.

  7. And all the good wishes for the holiday season to you and yours as well. Even though I don't comment as often as I would like, I always read and enjoy all the "press releases" from the Dept. May the new year bring health, happiness, wine, and cheap avocados your way.

  9. Bug--Welcome back to the Buckeye State. I trust your trip home was pleasant and uneventful, the orange barrels notwithstanding. I shall toast you in the New Year (if we are awake, hee hee)!

LaFF--Oh my dear! I ran into Major Cheap Avos during Christmas week! After I (Rick, actually) Did The Math, they figured out to be about 79 cents apiece! I grabbed two bags of five and practically ran to the checkout. They were divine. Thank you for the kind words. Once I get over These Holidays, I'll get back At It.
